Women's World Blitz and Rapid Champion in 1992
That's Judit and Galliamova. I won both FIDE Blitz and FIDE Rapid World Championship in 1992. Judit finished 2nd in one and Sofia finished in 2nd in the other.

Ma'am,
Well, I did not know that you liked playing in the blitz mode of chess. It is my favorite.
The reason I am writing is that I have been sorting out thoughts on how chess can become a more popular game in the US.
Here is the thought:
1. We live in a time of a great digital divide.
2. According to analysts, the digital immigrants are those who did not grow up with digital capabilities.
3. The digital natives are those who were born after 1980 and have known digital things all of their lives.
4. Digital immigrants therefore think differently, and are much more inclined to multi-tasking.
5. Because of these facts, digital natives are into speed chess, necessarily so because they have to focus on one thing.
The evidence I have of this is that our emerging chess champions are getting younger and younger. This must be the effect of computer-enhanced chess.
However, I still think that the digital native does not replace the family in a digitized world.
A way to increase the centrality of the family through digital things should be worked on somehow.
Am I too "old-fashioned" because I sense this to be the case?
